The history of Modus Design began in the mid-70s in New York, amidst the fashionable district of SoHo, from the studio of artist and designer Marek Cecuła. His original works and conceptual use of porcelain garnered worldwide attention.

For many years Modus under the creative direction of Marek Cecula and Edyta Cieloch, has been developing alternative solutions in the field of functional, decorative and artistic porcelain objects for the US and European market. The studio's pieces are an expression of contemporary design, based upon the traditions of the oldest Polish porcelain manufacturer. Applying a manual process to white and coloured porcelain, and fired at 1380C.

Modus Design’ ceramics contains beauty, meaning and emotion. Their pieces invite creation and celebration to table rituals.

The latest Modus Design collection include the Berta and Tomek vases, new forms that express simple symmetry in colored porcelain. The matte surface with a touch of glaze gives a background and contrast to the flower’s composition.
