Agnieszka Bar designs glass objects that combine functionality with irony and practicality with an unusual approach to materials.
She represents the youngest generation of Polish designers who are currently conquering the global design market. By simple means – mainly with the use of plain, transparent glass – she creates remarkably original versions of the latest trends in contemporary design. At the same time, she hasn’t given up on art: Bar creates sculptures and installations, too; however, these are always linked to her explorations in glass design. Additionally, she works as a tutor in the ceramic department at her Alma Mater, the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.

On Finger Sophisticated line of practical and remarkably handy glass works. Cold drink glasses, snacks, and vegetable bowls surprise with their convenience owing to carefully fashioned thumb and finger indentations. Fingers immersed in glassware become an integral part and ensure maximum comfort during any use. The idea was born as part of the Master’s Diploma in Design Studio Glass Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts, under the guidance of promoter K. Pawlak.
